- Wisdom’s voice is a call for repentance.
- There’s no real life apart from God—there’s only wickedness, corruption, angst, and death on a day-by-day, minute-by-minute, second-by-by second basis.
- You can prepare a feast of life for a person to eat, but you can’t make them eat it!
- Misery loves company, and the naïve person who falls for the wicked woman’s lies is indeed miserable!

- The wisdom of the Lord is built on an unshakable foundation, and is firmly secure, and thus worthy of being trusted.
- The wise person is quick to proclaim, “On Christ, the solid rock, I stand. All other ground is sinking sand.”
- Life or death? The decision is yours. Whichever you chose is much more than a reward or consequence at the end of the road—it’s a daily reality in the here and now.
- Wisdom offers us a feast of life. Nobody leaves Wisdom’s house feeling unsatisfied or empty!

- If we truly see how worthy the wisdom of the Lord is, we’ll value it above all things and “toys.”
- The wisdom of the Lord is available to everyone—from kings to the common man.
- If you love and treasure the Lord Jesus, you have an eternal and never-ending source of joy and immaterial wealth. For the wise person, this is an easy decision!
- A call to prepare for eternity.

- The adulterous woman’s house turned out to be a pit stop on the path to hell.
- Contrasting the voice of the wicked woman with the voice of Wisdom.
- Those who incline their ears, minds, and hearts to understanding the wisdom of the Lord will find themselves leaning more and more toward His moral uprightness.

- God sees adultery as shamefully reckless, if not suicidal.
- The fallout from the adulterous relationship.

- The person who speaks out of both sides of their mouth would be wise to turn away from their sin and speak truthfully. Wisdom doesn’t have room for any less!

- Parents have the critical responsibility of making sure that they’re giving their children godly instruction on a regular basis – it creates the lenses through which they’ll see the world, themselves, and God.

- Sins against one’s own body are like traps that get set by the same person who gets caught in them!
- The words of one’s mouth can ensnare the person who makes hasty financial commitments to support a friend or stranger.
- Rather than putting off the things that need to be done, we do a better job of glorifying God and have a better chance of preserving friendships if we learn to do things in a timely manner.
- Laziness can be dangerous business!

- The consequences of giving in to the temptations of the pleasures of the flesh are serious and costly…
- To avoid the weight of carrying a guilty conscience on your shoulders to the grave, consider the consequences of your actions before you carry them out.
- God created sex to be a good thing, but it’s only a good thing when it’s experienced in the context that He intended for it: marriage.
- A man’s sexuality is a very sensitive thing, but when sex is properly practiced in marriage, as God intended and designed it, that sexuality is the glue that bonds a man’s heart to his wife.

- What does the path of the godly look like? Well, for starters, unlike the path of the wicked, it’s illuminated…
- The foundational ingredients in the recipe for a godly life starts with a filthy heart washed clean by the blood of Jesus; add a tamed tongue and mix with a disciplined eye, blended with a foot that turns away from evil.
- The bait that’s most successful in enticing us to stray from the path of righteousness: pleasures of the flesh, hands down!
- The path of the righteous and the path of those who tempt the righteous are diametrical and logical opposites!

- David’s experience didn’t come without a price, and he was able to pass wisdom on to his children as a result.
- When we pursue wisdom with passion and priority, we receive the promotion and the prize of wisdom.
- Running the Christian race is like running a marathon with hurdles set up every 10 yards – nobody could do it on their own! So how does one reach the finish line?
- The path of the wicked is enticing and filled with enticers. Clinging to wisdom means living a different life and walking a different path.

- For the person who is overwhelmed by fear and anxiety, God steps in and offers peace and rest by trusting in Him alone.
- The peace of God isn’t something that can be contained by the person who has it – rather, it overflows in their life so that everyone who comes near them gets their feet in it!
- The peace that passes understanding flows from the individual to their neighbor and to everyone they come into contact with.
- Three things belong to the righteous: blessing, grace, and honor. That’s one coin you don’t want to find yourself on the flipside of!

- The person who has God’s wisdom seeks and honors God, whether times are good or difficult.
- The cost of gold…over $1000 per ounce. The cost of an ounce of silver…still very expensive. But wisdom…priceless! Wisdom and understanding are far more valuable than anything else this world has to offer.
- When the storms of life come, the wise hold fast to wisdom, but the foolish trust in their own understanding.
- When we remain mindful of the fact that God created the universe and everything in it, it will affect how we live our lives.

- The third purpose of the discretion which comes about through God’s wisdom is that it prevents us from believing things that others tell about us in an attempt to manipulate us in some way.
- The choice is ours: purity and protection or spiritual poverty?

- You’ll find 3 things if you seek wisdom with perseverance: the origin, object, and outcome of wisdom.
- To understand righteousness, justice, and fairness requires wisdom. Wisdom starts with fearing the Lord. What significance does that have in how we vote?
- Those who walk in the absence of light actually ENJOY evil. The wise person will seek the light and stay in it when they find it!
